"Think Purple, Live Green" Theme Semester Overview
The TCU "Think Purple, Live Green" theme semester was developed during the Spring 2008 semester. TCU Office of Communications, TCU Student Development Services, faculty, and students worked diligently over the summer to create events and features to involve as many students, staff, and faculty as possible. The main goal is for the TCU community to address the topic from an intellectual and educational perspective, and ultimately be moved to action. The previous theme semester addressed, Rights, Responsibility, and Respect, and these concepts also will be integrated into this theme semester.
The theme semester revolves around the following three features that will demonstrate the TCU mission statement.
1. Educational opportunities to learn more about living green
and why it is important to TCU, our community, state, nation,
and world.
2. The Live Green Pledge – a goal has been established for 50%
of the TCU community to sign the pledge.
3. Froggles – a friendly contest for organizations to compete to
demonstrate living green.
